More than ever, Business Continuity capability is inextricably linked to cyber resilience and, as David Thorp, Executive Director of the BCI stated in the BCI Cyber Resilience Report 2017, “cooperation is key to building cyber and organizational resilience. Different disciplines such as business continuity, information security and risk management need to come together, share intelligence and start speaking the same language if they want to build a safer future for their organizations and communities.”
In its Quarter Three Report 2017, CERT reports that “financial loss from cyber security incidents continues to increase, with over $1.1million of loss reported this quarter. 29% of people who reported to CERT NZ experienced some form of loss.”
Katie will provide an overview of CERT and its activities that are helping New Zealand better understand and stay resilient to cyber security threats. Learn about the critical controls that your organisation can implement that would mitigate the majority of information security incidents.
